Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

The Axe-Fx II manual (chapter three) includes more information about setups.

"Cab" search results ignore the settings of this filter.

Description This is my mod of one of fremen's scene controller amp patches, the Div13 one. I"m using 7 scenes here. The cabs are ones of his but you should be able to find your own combination and it should sound good. He assigned the scene controllers to input drive, input trim, and amp level. They increase as the scenes increase. Scene 1 = clean delay stuff scene 2 - wah trem scene 3 - legit mid gain rhythm scene 4 - more gain with drive scene 5 - lead 1 sound scene 6 - lead 2 sound (switches to Y cab, i was going for more vintage sound like EJ or something) scene 7 - lead sound 5 with delay Exp 1 - rotary level on all the time exp 2 - Pitch / whammy on all the time exp 3 - assigned to filter block to all for solo volumes at scenes 1-4. It's disabled on scene 5-7 I used slap back delays to give some ambience in the patch and take out the reverb block to free up some CPU and some room verb in the cab block. I used a QSC k12 mounted on a pole to make this patch. I feel pretty confident it will sit well in a mix and sound good live.
