Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

The Axe-Fx II manual (chapter three) includes more information about setups.

"Cab" search results ignore the settings of this filter.

Description My guilty pleasure is Korn. I recently picked up a 90's RG7620 and noticed there aren't a lot of Korn patches out there, especially from their first album. I did a bit of research and when they recorded this album a big part of their tone came from a 1x8 National Amplifier mixed with a Recto. So, I tried to replicate that and on my setup with my guitar it sounds pretty close but each setup will differ, hopefully you agree and can tweak to your liking. Scene 1 is primary with Scene 2 being the overall thick reverb\delay sound for that background Chorus trill they do a lot. Based the tone primarily off the song "Need To". I used the ML Misha Mix 08 USA Bulb cab, so you might want to pick that up or just use a 4x12 Vintage 30 cab and adjust to your liking. The other cab is a Fractal Stock 1x8 Cab.
