Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

Description Revised 3. Layouts were also messed up. One note, I am using headphones at night and at times to spare family agony (HA HA). I forgot to add the Air setting to 100% in the speaker section. This will open up the sound so you can use the speaker simulation. Output scene levels were not right and Input 2 has the 10 Band EQ that matches both presets. I have two tube amps going into the back of the returns. This preset has standard tuning 0-3 down tunings. Each step is a 1/2 difference. FAS Modern amp. I have a CS1 Switch controlling two different 10 Band EQs. I use this preset for different tunings of songs. I just have a Clean and Solo set up for now. I have an Input 2 for a cell phone playing YouTube videos through a Blackstar Bluetooth device so I can play along with the songs in stereo. OFM9G Layout with different options. I created a 8 scene layout which starts through layout links on the preset switches. Press once to go to regular OFM9G layout. Press and hold to go back to 8 Scene Layout. Best of Both Worlds.
