Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

Description Revised 4. Sorry, I should have done this right the first time. You can change amps ETC easy with highlighting the pin feature (Had to change some of the Reverb blocks as the were not all set to Medium Room) Past edits include Layouts were also messed up. One note, I am using headphones at night and at times to spare family agony (HA HA). I forgot to add the Air setting to 100% in the speaker section. This will open up the sound so you can use the speaker simulation. Output scene levels were not right and Input 2 has the 10 Band EQ that matches both presets. I have two tube amps going into the back of the returns. This preset has 4-7 down tunings. Each step is a 1/2 difference. Archon Clean and FAS Modern amp scenes. I have a CS1 Switch controlling two different 10 Band EQs. I use this preset for different tunings of songs. I just have a Clean and Solo set up for now. I have an Input 2 for a cell phone playing YouTube videos through a Blackstar Bluetooth device so I can play along with the songs in stereo. OFM9G Layout with different options. I created a 8 scene layout which starts through layout links on the preset switches. Press once to go to regular OFM9G layout. Press and hold to go back to 8 Scene Layout. Best of Both Worlds.
