Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

The Axe-Fx II manual (chapter three) includes more information about setups.

Description Firmware 10 This is a general description for all four of my uploads. This will be my last update for a while. I changed a few things. Cabs, position of the Delay and Reverb to parallel. Adjustments to the Gate and IN 2, Switch to the more aggressive GEQ 10 band as priority. Level Adjustments to some Output 1 and Output 3. Cab Block has some high resolution but CPU overload 1-3 and 4-7 steps down and is on standard legacy cab. This is for my headphones at night or when I cannot use my two tube amps. I sometimes use Lion Todd's IRs but this is not one of them. Final adjustment on OMG layout with 8 Scenes. Best of both worlds. Substitute any block to your liking. Input 2 is for Bluetooth device to play YouTube videos or any streaming service so you can play with the songs. Out 3 L to back of the tube amp return and the right to another tube amp Enjoy!!!
