Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

Description Please note this preset is NOT for Firmware 15.00 It was written in Firmware 16.01!!! At the time of upload, FW 16 was not selectable on the site. This preset is extreme gain with no clean up when you back off your guitar or bass volume. It goes from grind to dull roar when you back off the volume. This preset uses a blend combination of the Diezel VH4 channel 4, Trainwreck Express, Mesa Boogie Bright channel, & Peavey 6505+. This patch uses the resonator block trick that Seed of the Day posted about to simulate the amp in the room kind of resonance and rumble. All the cabinets used in the preset are native to the Axe FXII. 4 X12 German Boutique 4 X 12 Lerxst Mix 4 X 12 5153 Mix 4 X 12 Recto New mix. A little drive (x/y), Flanger (x/y), & Reverb (x/y) thrown in for color occasionally during all 8 scenes. I tested this preset extensively using my Rickenbacker 4003, Hagstrom Swede bass, Gibson Les Paul Dusk Tiger, Electra x-940 Vulcan with Invader Pickups, '92 Fender American Standard Strat with stock pickups, & PRS SE-Singlecut. The preset was great with all of them IMHO. You may have to alter the settings slightly based on fingers, playing style, setup, and individual instrument. Enjoy!
