Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

Description Updated Triptik Classic/Modern preset for AxeFX MK 1. FW2.04 It’s a pretty loaded preset, enjoy! Scene 1 - Triptik classic amp, bright switch on, stereo cab F54 & F27, Expression 1 controls delay 1. Drive block on X = zen master Scene 2 - same as scene 1 but bright switch is off, expression 1 now controls wah. use delay 2 as expression is mapped to delay 1 and wah (although it can be a cool effect) Scene 3 - amp and cab switch to Y, modern triptik and F26 orange cab. amp bright switch is off. expression 1 controls delay 1. Drive block on Y = FAS boost Scene 4 - same as scene 3 but bright switch is on. expression 1 controls wah. use delay 2. Scene 5 - still on triptik modern, turns on chorus & multi delay. Scenes 6, 7, 8 are not used. Tap tempo works for both delay 1 & 2 Also Phaser and Flanger = X for scenes 1 & 2 and = Y for scenes 3, 4, 5
