Axe Change -The Official Site for Fractal Audio Presets, Cabs and More

Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

The Axe-Fx II manual (chapter three) includes more information about setups.

"Cab" search results ignore the settings of this filter.

Description Suhr Badger30 with Variac at 50%. There is both X&Y in the AMP Block. Scenes 1-4 (Y) are Cleaner. Scenes 5-8 (X) are more Gain. There is two FILTER Blocks; One is +2.6dB with a Mid Boost. One is +8dB with a Mid Boost. There's Two DRIVE Blocks: FET Preamp & Shimmer Drive. Two Wahs: One Regular. The other is an Auto-Wah with an LFO set to a fast rate for a Tremolo like effect, (but it's wah so its I put a UNI-VIBE & a PANNER in AFTER the REVERB for a cool effect. You can use one. none or both. I Have the PITCH SHIFTER in there set up as an Octave down but it's attached to a Pitch Modifier so it only plays the Octave bass notes on your lower strings and leaves your higher strings as a regular guitar, (so you can kinda play Bass & Guitar at the same time..) It cuts off at about the 9th fret on the A String, to adjust the cutoff, open the modifier page, (the modifier is attached to INPUT GAIN) the cutoff frequency can be adjusted by the MID for higher & SLOPE for Lower. There's also X/Y on the Reverb & Delay if ya wanna check those out as well & I think that's it.
