Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

The Axe-Fx II manual (chapter three) includes more information about setups.

"Cab" search results ignore the settings of this filter.

Description Forgive me if this sounds like utter dog crap, I made it when boofing and jamming on an entry level Tele. I have spent the past few hours trying to replicate a setup that shares a lot in common amongst studio musicians during the early-mid 1960's. Particularly the FenderTM TweedTM toan of yesteryear. For a more 50's feel, use scene 03 as it has a ton less breakup and is similar to what one would expect out of the Rockabilly-era. This preset was not based on any particular song, but has a bunch of random shit that I thought sounded good. Thank you for trying my boomertoan. Suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated. Major funding for this tone was provided by the Corporation for Public Boofing, and the annual financial support of viewers like you. Scene 01: A heavily compressed broken up tweed. Scene 02: Scene 01 with a delay. Scene 03: A cleaner variant of scene 01. Scene 04: Scene 03 with a delay. Scene 05: Scene 02 with a Big MuffTM and CrybabyTM Scene 06: Wahless version of Scene 05, Scene 07: Scene 03 with a chorus (Do not play a Boomer version of Pull Me Under - Dream Theater on this) (No really it was made when trying to make a boomer version of Dream Theater's Images and Words tone...) Scene 08: Scene 03 with a phaser (Can't have a rig without a phaser) P.S. USE SINGLE COILS DAMMIT Oh, also try channel B for less of a slapback delay effect if it is deemed to overbearing.
