Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

Description Basic preset with 4 scenes for Lincoln Brewster kinda tones. Uses the Plexi Normal amp with factory cab 37 (4x12 G12M25). Alternatively you can use #38 which is a little brighter and clearer. I've also used the RW G12M25 Cap Edge 0 inch with an R121 Null And Wall 12 inch. It uses a PEQ following the settings on LB POD X3 Live patches. 1. Scene 1 has less drive (low/medium gain) and only delay 2. Scene 2 has more drive (lead) and delay/reverb 3. Scene 3 is scene 2 with a compressor added after the CAB 4, Scene 4 is scene 2 with a drive block added before the amp. Works also great with a Wampler Euphoria at the front. This is a basic starting for usage with a strat with vintage single coils. Best for strats/teles.
