Determining Your Setup

The "Setup" filter helps you to focus on those presets best-suited for how you use your Axe-Fx.

FRFR/Direct presets (like all of the Factory presets) are designed for "full-range flat-response" systems such as studio monitors, PAs, headphones, etc.

Pwr. Amp + Cab presets use real power amps and guitar speakers.

4-Cable Method (aka :4CM") presets require a special setup with connectors both in front of and in the effects loop of a real amp.

Fx Loop presets in the loop of a real amp. A loop may be SERIES or PARALLEL and the preset needs to be built accordingly.

Gtr Amp Input presets should be used in front of a (real) head or combo. Guitar->Axe-Fx->Amp Input.

Other setups also exist (e.g. combinations of the above).

"Cab" search results ignore the settings of this filter.

Description PRESET WAS MADE ON FIRMWARE 19.02, NOT 17! At the time of uploading, Fractal has not updated the firmware version selection beyond 17. A HUGE sonic improvement over my previous version! I have made many parameter adjustments to nearly every block; far too many to list. I have also added a second reverb, toggled by holding the Plex Delay footswitch (labeled "Reverb" on the FC mini display). The preset uses about 48% CPU on an original "Mk I" unit. Try the new features and improved sound! Original Description: A "3-channel" amp setup, with lush, ultra-clean, chorus, detune and plex verb on one channel, and high-gain chugs and searing leads on the other 2. The only difference between the two high-gain channels is the overall "Level" control and the "High Freq" control within the "Speaker" tab of the Amp Block. This preset was made using a Matrix GT1000FX power amp and a Krank Revolution 4X12, loaded with 2 EVM-12L Black Label speakers and 2 OverTonez Audio Thick Boy speakers.
